The Iraqi Media and Communications Authority has issued a warning to a program aired on Al-Rasheed TV, citing a violation of the media broadcasting regulations.
According to a letter signed by the head of the executive body, Bilegh Abu Kal, the program “File 13 with Ahmed Al-Harbi” committed a violation during its episode broadcast last Friday, as some of the host’s remarks were deemed inconsistent with the broadcasting regulations established by the authority.
The violation specifically pertained to Article 4 of Chapter Two, which emphasizes accuracy, integrity, and transparency in the transmission of information.
The letter stressed the necessity of adhering to professional standards that align with the broadcasting regulations, and it mandated the removal of the mentioned episode from the channel’s digital platforms.
Previously, on May 14, 2026, the Iraqi Media and Communications Authority announced a 45-day suspension of the program “The Truth is Said,” hosted by Adnan Al-Taie, due to a lack of professionalism in presentation and dialogue management.
